SourceCAD is committed to making its website, online courses, and learning experience accessible to as many users as possible, including learners with disabilities.

We aim to provide an inclusive learning environment where students, educators, professionals, and institutional users can access CAD and engineering training without unnecessary barriers.

Our Accessibility Status

SourceCAD is working toward alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA, where applicable to our website, course platform, video lessons, quizzes, learner dashboards, account areas, and related learning content.

Based on our current internal review, SourceCAD is partially aligned with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. However, we do not currently claim full WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance across every page, course, downloadable file, interactive feature, embedded tool, and learner account area.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We continue to review our platform and course experience to identify areas where accessibility can be improved and to address accessibility issues as they are found or reported.

Current Accessibility Features

SourceCAD currently provides several accessibility-supporting features across the platform.

Our website and course pages are designed with readable visual contrast to support easier viewing.

Course videos include closed captions, and captions are manually reviewed for accuracy.

Core website buttons and navigation elements are accessible using keyboard controls, including the Tab and Enter keys.

Course content is organized using structured lessons, video modules, and quizzes to help learners move through the material in a clear sequence.

Where possible, we aim to make course navigation, lesson access, quiz interaction, and account-related actions usable without relying only on a mouse.

Video Course Accessibility

Many SourceCAD courses are video-based. We understand that video accessibility is especially important for learners who are deaf, hard of hearing, or who prefer text-supported learning.

Our course videos include closed captions that are manually reviewed. We continue to improve the accuracy, consistency, and usefulness of captions across our course library.

Because CAD training often involves visual demonstrations, we also encourage instructors to explain commands, steps, and workflows clearly within the video instruction.

Keyboard Accessibility

SourceCAD is designed so that key website actions can be performed using keyboard navigation, including moving through buttons and links using the Tab key and activating them using the Enter key.

We continue to review interactive areas of the platform, including course navigation, quizzes, account pages, and learning dashboards, to improve keyboard accessibility where needed.

Quizzes and Learning Activities

SourceCAD courses may include quizzes and other learning checks. We aim to make these activities clear, readable, and usable for learners accessing the platform through different input methods.

If a learner experiences difficulty completing a quiz or learning activity due to an accessibility barrier, they can contact us for assistance.

Known Limitations and Ongoing Improvements

SourceCAD is partially aligned with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, but some areas may not yet fully meet all applicable WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria.

Known areas under continued review include older course materials, downloadable files, quiz interactions, course navigation, keyboard accessibility, screen-reader compatibility, captions, account pages, dashboards, and third-party embedded tools.

Some CAD training content is inherently visual because it involves software demonstrations, design workflows, drawings, models, and command-based instruction. We continue to improve how this visual content is explained, captioned, structured, and supported.

When an accessibility issue is reported, we will review it and work to provide a fix, improvement, or reasonable alternative access where possible.

Additional Accessibility Support

If any learner, instructor, or institution experiences difficulty accessing SourceCAD content, we will provide additional support when needed.

This may include help accessing course material, clarification of lesson content, assistance with captions, alternate guidance for completing course activities, or other reasonable support depending on the learner’s needs.

Institutional Accessibility Requests

For schools, colleges, universities, companies, and government organizations evaluating SourceCAD, we can provide available accessibility information upon request.
